RCS Automotive, IE; Rob's Castile Sunoco, INC; has been family owned since its purchase in July of 2014.


The owner and Master Tech, Rob Patterson grew up in Perry, NY. In 1987 he enlisted in the US Navy, serving 10 years and achieving the rank of First Class Petty Officer (E-6). During his enlistment, he attended Fisher Tech in Virginia Beach, VA; where he achieved Master Tech status certified by the National Institute of Automotive Services Excellence. In 1991 he married his hometown flame, Robin, they've spent 34 years making memories; to include two children. After exiting the US Navy in 1997, they settled down in Gainesville, NY and he worked for automotive dealers in the area; to include Least Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Marketplace CDJ, West Herr CDJ, McClurg CDJ, and Castilone CDJ. With his experience and training, he had accomplished the title of Chrysler Master Tech. In 2005, Rob joined the Gainesville Fire Dept; where he rose to the title of Fire Chief and an EMT. In 2014, Rob was given the opportunity to chase his dream of owning his own Automotive Repair Shop. With the support of his friends and family, he purchased Ackerman's Sunoco in Castile, NY. With 30 years of customer service in the automotive industry and 20 years serving his community; Rob is always ready to help.


Their oldest, Tasha, graduated from LCS in 2011 and completed CNA training. She worked in the medical field for 5 years before joining us full time in 2022. She continues her training as our Lead Service Advisor, where she works very closely with our clients to meet their needs and expectations. She is always striving to help her community with their automotive needs.


Their son, Brandon, graduated from LCS in 2014 and came aboard upon opening day. Learning from his father to be an Automotive Technician. Now, he is an accomplished technician and NY State Inspector. Brandon is always striving to complete the task at hand properly and efficiently.


Jasmine has been our Attendant/fill in Customer Service Representative for a couple years. She handles lunch hour phone calls and office filing. She is always happy to help with a smile.


Paige joined the team in July 2025 as our Customer Service Representative. She graduated from LCS in 2016 with an interest in the Automotive world. She is a fast learner and always has the glass half full. She is now a Service Advisor and enjoys helping her community.


Chris came aboard in the summer of 2025. A west coaster with WNY roots. He's been an Automotive Tech for over 10 years and is always prompt and honest with client vehicle safety and needs.
